Blurrt just levelled up

May 25, 2016 — by

Levelled up, evolved, matured, refreshed or blossomed. Regardless of which way you put it we’ve made some changes at Blurrt in terms of how we look and what’s on our website, which has also changed a bit too.

New Logo

As we’ve evolved what we do over the last year from real-time social media analytics primarily for reporting, to real-time social analytics to make any project that little bit more awesome as well as displaying it in an easy to understand way, we thought we’d celebrate that with a bit of a brand refresh.

Evolved from our previous logo, our new logo includes a mark alongside our name, composed of a hashtag with a subtle ‘b’ built into it.

The hashtag is an incredibly important element of social media for us as we collect and understand posts and images that are grouped using them on Twitter and Instagram, as well as topics via Facebook, so it seemed like a perfect fit.

Those little bits floating around the screen you’ve seen – if you hadn’t realised, they’re actually parts of our deconstructed logo, so bits of the hashtag itself.
We’re all about clever metaphors so the thinking here is that this shows what it is we at Blurrt do.

We take apart social media posts, analyse and understand, then put back the pieces back together in the form of great content.

New Site

The website you’re currently reading this on is also a fresh and new look for us, which also includes updated staff listings, case studies alongside changes to the general messaging around what it is that we do.

The site will continue to evolve over the next few months, alongside regular blog posts and the addition of some of the new projects we’re working on.

New Staff

When there’s a fire alarm drill there’s now even more of us to account for, but that’s not a bad thing, it’s a great thing! So who exactly are these newbies?

Ed joins us as a Senior Software Developer, essentially gaining the title of biggest nerd. He’ll be making sure that our products are even better than they are now and that we continue to innovate going forward.

Scott is working with Blurrt on some pretty awesome projects that quite simply if we told you about, we would have to kill you.

The addition of Conor helps make the team a little bit more European and also ensures that new things we make look as pretty as possible. (Including this site he’s helped build!)

Keep checking back over the next few weeks, months and years for new content and to see the next step in Blurrt’s evolutionary path.
