General Election 2015: Leaders end of July

July 28, 2014 — by

We’ve decided to track the Twitter reaction to both the main political parties and the main party leaders in the run-up to the general election next year. We’ll be posting weekly graphics showing the reaction on Twitter.

We’ll mainly be using our Blurrt Scorre® as a metric to gauge how the parties and leaders are faring on Twitter. This is a combination of tweet volume and average sentiment and is scored from 0 – 100.

The graph below shows the Blurrt Scorre® for each party leader over the last 7 days. Delving into the tweets show that Miliband’s speech on image hasn’t played out well for him. Clegg has had a positive reaction to calling for Russia to be stripped of the world cup. The continuing conflict in Gaza isn’t helping Cameron. Farages’ op ed piece on cricket seems to have struck a chord.
